Behind the scenes preparation is underway for our biggest
weekend of the year. March 14th
through the 17th, not only will we host our annual Running of the Leprechaun
8K and St. Patrick’s Day Parade, but we will also participate in a huge event
featuring many restaurants on the Outer Banks.
Taste of the Beach is one of North Carolina’s most well-known seafood
and wine festivals and features a ton of events including cooking classes, beer
and wine making classes, Outer Banks restaurant tours and so much more.
We host events over the weekend tied to Taste of the
Beach. Our dinner event on Friday and
Saturday night is a “Celebration of Northeast North Carolina.” For this event, Chef prepares a fare for
seafood and land lovers that feature wine and beer pairings from area wineries
and breweries. Because of its popularity,
advance ticket purchases of $47 per person are required as space is
limited.
Another very popular dinner that can only be held at our restaurant
and tavern is the St. Patty’s Day Extravaganza.
This dinner features a true Irish feast that includes Irish stew, Corn
Beef and Cabbage, and other Irish specialties as well as pints of Guinness and
other Irish beer. Following this feast,
the Tavern kicks into high gear with a live concert as only we can host. North Carolina’s own Jonny Waters and Company
is scheduled to take us into the wee hours of the night. While we love hosting dinners that feature
local seafood specialties, nothing is better than an evening of Irish food and
fun.
Over the past few years, we have taken home the award for
People’s Choice for Best Dessert as well as a People’s Choice finalist award
and hope to do so again this year. The Taste of the Beach competition takes
place at our sister restaurant, Pamlico Jack’s on Sunday evening.
For more information about any of the weekend’s events, call
us at (252) 441-4116. We cannot wait for
this weekend and all that comes with it.
In the meantime, our doors are always open so stop in for drinks, dinner
and a little nighttime dancing!
